It’s official. Thanksgiving is over and we’re moving right on to the next holiday! We’ve been busy planning for St. Nick, decorating our home, baking for fun and for gifting and shopping for presents. Perusing through this month’s issue of Midwest Living, I found the cutest idea for a DIY candy cane Christmas tree. This Thanksgiving our little family will be heading up north to Wisconsin to celebrate the holiday with our family. We have so much to be thankful for this year—our health, steady employment, a roof over our heads, food on the table, good friends, a supportive family and lots of love—these might sound like the basics, but I still feel really grateful to have all of these things in our lives. And on top of all that, I get to spend my days with the best bud I could ask for and get to share fun things like this Etsy Thanksgiving round-up with you. Life doesn’t get much better!
Thanks to all of you who read our posts and share in our little slice of life. Happy Thanksgiving!

I found a great article from L.R. Knost on what to do when children hit. As a gentle parent, I found Asher’s aggressive behavior surprising, but this article helped me understand that what my son was doing was normal and age-appropriate and gave me practical tips for how to handle it….
I love soup! With the cooler weather coming soon, a piping hot bowl of soup and a crisp salad is typically my first choice for dinner. This recipe for butternut squash soup is so delicious and hearty….
